Refurbished vs second hand vs "open box"

  • Refurbished — tested and repaired by a company, sold with its warranty. Parts may have been replaced: check Settings > General > About > Parts and Service History for "Unknown" (non-genuine) parts.
  • Second hand / pre-owned — sold by the previous owner as-is. Cheapest, no warranty beyond any remaining Apple warranty (check at checkcoverage.apple.com).
  • Open box — nearly new, returned unused; ask for the original bill.

Is it safe to buy a refurbished iPhone from Cashify?
